about me

where i’m from

I am from Baltimore City, Maryland, and was blessed with a family and community that valued the Arts and nurtured my creativity. I began my performing arts journey at a young age, performing in community productions and school plays. In 2007, at age 7, I began formal dance training in the Baltimore School for the Arts’ (BSA) after-school TWIGS Program. I would later move on to study Theatre at BSA (℅ 2018). Upon graduating highschool, I attended the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins for a year of dance training before making my Broadway Debut in the revival of West Side Story.

Throughout the years I have created and performed in works locally and nationally including: Everyman Theatre’s production of ‘Wait Until Dark’ (2016??); The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s production of ‘Hairspray! In Concert’ (2015); Palm Springs Dance Festival (2019); Lauren Gunderson’s one woman show, ‘Natural Shocks’ (2018); Baltimore Ceasefire Festival (2019); and Dance & Bmore’s musical ‘Voices of Carmen’ (2020) among many others.

I have worked with choreographers such as: Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Sidra Bell, Yin Yue, Katherine Helen Fisher, and Matthew Cumbie to name a few.

I believe in Art for life’s sake

the divine pleasure of creating and experiencing Art in tandem with Art as a means for social-healing and revolution.

I strive to create work and tell stories that cultivate empathy. I value holding and creating space for everyday people and experiences to be seen, heard and respected. I create for self-expression. I create to feel. I create with hope that my creativity, passion and light will move others to believe in themselves, their passion, and their light for the benefit of our collective well being.

my vision

I envision a world that nurtures an abundance of creativity and passion. Where we can release judgement of ourselves and others with ease and invest in love. A world where we move with empathy, respect, resilience and integrity. My vision and hopes for the world are what I envision and hope for myself. I envision happiness and health; creativity and love; and full-actualization of self.
