I Dream A World Play
In 2018, Ui-Seng was commissioned to write and direct A Revolutionary Summer’s end of the program production titled, ‘I Dream A World’ based on Brian Lanker’s book of the same name. The piece was a play that incorporated acting, singing and dance elements. It was first performed with the daughters of A Revolutionary Summer 18’.
A Revolutionary Summer (ARS) is an intensive critical reading and writing program based in Baltimore City dedicated to shifting harmful narratives about Black women and girls through both the meaningful study and creation of art and the deliberate application of self-inquiry.
