Be Free: A Journey Back To Self 👣

Interdisciplinary play produced, written, & choreographed by Ui-Seng François

About: Be Free: A Journey Back To Self is an interdisciplinary play that shares the story of my personal experience being coerced into a spiritual cult and my journey onward towards healing and reclaiming my identity. Embodied in dance, live music, and spoken word; Be Free, guides audiences through my odyssey of lost and found. With the purpose to empower and serve as a communal space for justice, healing, and liberation.

Produced, written, and choreographed by Ui-Seng François for her senior capstone at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. Performed by Ui-Seng François, Aidan Taylor (Bass), Ethan Bailey-Gould (Guitar), Koleby Royston (Percussion), and Thomas Schinabeck (Saxophone/Flute).
